Near Field Communication (NFC), is a form of contactless communication between devices like smartphones and tablets. Contactless communication allows a user to wave their smartphone over a NFC compatible device to send information without needing to touch the devices together or go through the hassle of setting up a connection (as you would with a Bluetooth connection and PIN).

Businesses can really benefit from Near Field Communication as it allows your business to provide fast, secure ways for customers to pay without digging through their wallets for various credit cards. Samsung has today unveiled its latest flagship smartphone - the Galaxy S3

The handset has a 4.8 inch (12.2cm) screen, an increase on the 4.3 inch screen of its predecessor. The firm described it as the “best in class” Android-based smartphone on the market. The new Super AMOLED display is 22% larger than its predecessor, but the actual device was not much wider.

The front camera can identify the user’s eyes and will not go dark or lock so long as you are looking at it. Other features on the Samsung Galaxy S3 include; an 8 megapixel camera on the rear, and a 1.9 megapixel front camera for video calls. The phone offers up to 64GB of internal memory and an SD slot to add more

The phone also uses what is described as a “natural language user interface” dubbed S Voice. ”It is more like a good friend and listens intently and responds effectively to you,” a spokesman said at the launch event in London. The facility can be used to command the phone to play songs, adjust the volume, send texts or emails and take photographs. The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available in two colours, pebble blue and marble white.

The Lister’s Team plan to whizz down the 900ft long Zip Wire while supporting Winston’s Wish. The charity for bereaved children, helps young people re-adjust to life after the death of a parent or sibling. By providing professional assistance before, during and after bereavement they help them to better understand the nature of loss and offer the practical support and guidance that many need in order to cope throughout the grieving process.

The grounds of the castle will be open for free exclusively to family and friends of our brave Zip Wire Participants, so whilst you take on your challenge your supporters can enjoy a picnic and be there to congratulate you when you finish!  A maze, giant games and beautiful grounds will make this a fantastic day out for everyone to enjoy.
