Lister Communications set sail to rescue old mobiles from Davy Jones’ Locker and raise money for LINC
Old mobile phones are veritable booty at Lister Communications as a new recycling program is set to raise funds for LINC, the Gloucestershire charity dedicated to supporting the patients and their families affected by leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers.
The Great Fairy and Pirate Fun Run which will run on Sunday 10th August has become a much loved annual event at LINC. To launch the recycling project and get the Lister Communications team into a buccaneering spirit for the weekend, the pirates are coming to Lister Communications on Friday 8th August.
Richard Snell, Marketing Manager at Lister Communications, will be playing captain as he collects contributions from staff coming in costume (and fining the landlubbers who don’t dress up), auctioning off a themed cake and getting his scurvy crew walking the plank. He said, ‘LINC is a fantastic charity which adds value to the entire community through their fundraising activities and their direct work has a huge impact on the lives of the patients and families they work with. We’re delighted to be raising money for them and having the pleasure of working with such a fun team in the process!’
Lister Communications is located on Brunel Way in Stonehouse, GL10 3SX. Mobile phones can be donated to for recycling Lister Communications during normal office hours or to LINC representatives at any of their events.
