Businesses from across Gloucestershire will get the chance to find out more about the Eco Park proposal at a unique networking event when Forest Green face Cheltenham Town this September.

Hosted by Lister Unified Communications, the networking event will be held before Rovers match with The Robins on Tuesday 22nd September, which will be the first league game between the sides since August 1998.

The event will feature insightful discussion from a panel including club chairman and Ecotricity founder Dale Vince, vice chairman of Forest Green Rovers David Drew, project leader Chris Gregg and David Owen, chief executive of GFirst.

The pre-match networking will give attendees the chance to meet like-minded businesses and create valuable connections and a tour of The New Lawn’s eco-initatives before a new stadium discussion with the panel and the chance to try some of the club’s famous hospitality and exceptional food.

That will be followed by one of the most eagerly anticipated Gloucestershire derbies in years before the event finishes with a chance to meet the players and man of the match at full time.

David Drew, vice chairman of Forest Green Rovers said: “This is the biggest local derby at the New Lawn in nearly twenty years so we felt it was the perfect opportunity to bring together like-minded businesses from across Gloucestershire.

“Eco Park is an amazing opportunity for both the club and the community to create a place where green businesses and technology companies come together and share ideas, and that’s exactly what we want to do at this networking event.”
