On Thursday 8th June Lister Unified Communications held a “10 Years Service Awards” ceremony to celebrate and thank the staff that have worked with Lister for 10 or more years.

While cost is always a factor when people choose a product or service, quality of customer service is sometimes more important as how a company handles any problems with service or equipment can sometimes make or break a customer relationship.

Lister Unified Communications is one of the largest, most experienced, telecommunications suppliers in the region but while this is a young, exciting industry, we pride ourselves on our old-school values and our strong, customer-focused ethos and have built our business on putting our customers first. The first thing we look for in staff joining the team is an in-built eagerness to help not just our customers but each other too, which makes for a great working atmosphere. That’s probably one of the reasons some of our staff have stayed with us for so long and why, hopefully, we’ll be celebrating when they’ve been with us for 20 years or more.

Anne Heaney joined Lister Unified Communications in 2002 as a Customer Service Assistant answering the phones, before moving up to Customer Services Manager. During her time at Lister, Anne has also worked within our sales department and provided telephone system training to our customers. As one of the largest and most experienced telecommunications suppliers in the region, Anne’s current role as Billing Manager is a very important one as we need to get the bills right!

Nick Trainor joined Lister Unified Communications in 2002 after a successful career as a professional cricketer. Nick works in our sales department and has a great knowledge of our many products and solutions including on-site & cloud telephone systems, mobile phones, internet connectivity and voice & data networking. He still loves cricket though and has been the Club Captain at Frocester Cricket Club for the last 15 years!

Julie Weir joined Lister Unified Communication as a Customer Service Assistant in 2004. She moved up to Implantation Manager and then Customer Services Manager, working on her qualifications, including NVQ Level 3 in Management, at the same time. Julie’s current role is quite diverse and she has her fingers in many pies, but she always manages to put our customers first in accordance with our strong, customer-focused ethos.

Jim Clapham joined Lister Unified Communications as their Mobile Manager in 2001. He then moved up to Mobile Director and is now Operations Director. Jim is Lister’s longest serving employee and has introduced the world of mobiles to our customers, working with them to create bespoke mobile phone packages with devices that meet all their business requirements.

Tom Blumsom joined Lister Unified Communications back in 2003, selling our range of telephone systems, superfast business broadband packages and our complete range of mobile phone and mobile data services. Many of Tom’s original customers from when he started have kept him as their Account Manager due to his knowledge, gained over 25 years in the industry and his great customer service. These customers span all sectors of business over the whole of the UK and, in fact, the world.

Alison Cant joined Lister Unified Communications in 2006 as Mobile Procurement Manager. During her time with Lister, Alison has seen massive changes in communications products and solutions, such as on-site telephone systems and cloud-based hosted IP telephony solutions. She has an endless task of sourcing the latest ‘must have’ devices and accessories for our customers which must, of course, be in the right colour too!

Ian Styles joined Lister Unified Communications in 2003, making him our the longest serving engineer. He has an excellent breath of knowledge across all platforms and is making his way up to be Head of Engineers. Ian keeps our customer’s telephone systems up-to-date and working by providing maintenance and support services, as well as technical support for mobile devices and broadband connections.

Amanda Daniels joined SITM in 2005 to take on the invoicing, bookkeeping and credit control and now has too many hats to count!  Amanda is mainly responsible for the smooth-running of the office, making sure our customers pay us and that we pay our suppliers.

Jason Stanley joined SITM in 2005 following a chance telephone conversation. Jason is very popular with the customers due to his calm and patient demeanour. If you have a tough problem to solve, Jason will keep at it until it’s done. Very experienced generally, Jason is also our Mac specialist, being a lover of all things Apple.

Don Riddell approached SITM for some temporary work in 2006 and has been with us ever since. Don’s technical knowledge is second to none and he’s an incredibly valuable resource for the rest of the technical team to bounce ideas off, providing guidance when they need it.
