When Lister Unified Communications sales manager Simon Gardner looks up from his seat at his beloved New Lawn this season, something shiny will catch his eye.

Forest Green fan Simon will see a gleaming advertising board looking back at him from the Community Stand highlighting the services of his other love – his work.

The sponsorship board extends Lister’s association with Rovers into a sixth season, but it’s a relationship that has been even longer in the maker to Green Devils fan Simon.

He said: “I have a long family association with the club. My great Uncle was the coach back in 1909 while my dad played for them during the 1958-9 season.

“I have always been a proud Rovers fan having grown up locally from the days at the old ground in front of 500 people to now when the crowds are in the thousands.

“Lister have worked with the club for the past six years and we are delighted to be extending that association with the new sponsorship board.

“Hopefully, it looks down on another successful season on the pitch.”

As well as sponsorship, Lister have used their technological expertise to help the club’s off-field operations.

They have supplied radio communications equipment for matchday and security staff and assisted the club introduce mobile E-ticketing.
