The Five Valley Fireworks event is set to sizzle thanks to sponsorship from Lister Unified Communications.

Taking place on Monday, October 28 (6pm) at Marling School’s playing fields, the event is being run by the Stroud, Nailsworth and Stonehouse Rotary.

The amazing firework display is being designed and choreographed to music by Star Fireworks – the current British Firework Champion of Champions.

As well as the spectacular display, there will be free entertainment for all the family, including a traditional Punch and Judy show as well as John Coneley’s Funfair.

Previously run as the Stroud Area event, it was rebranded to Five Valleys Fireworks to encourage a wider turnout from the entire district and the move has proved to be a hit.

The event has run for more than 50 years and has raised in excess of £250,000 for charity, including the County Air Ambulance, Cotswold Care Hospice, St Rose’s School and Door Youth Project.

The Stonehouse Rotary will be investing a third of this year’s net proceeds and have chosen The Willow Trust, the Stonehouse Garden Project and local Schools Development Fund.

Lister are one of a number of local companies sponsoring the event and our name will appear on the Five Valleys Fireworks website and on a display banner at the event.

Tickets will be available at the advance price of £8 for adults and £4 for accompanied primary school children until, October 25. Prices on the gate will be £10 and £5.

There is no car-parking at the venue with information on how to get to Marling School and on how to purchase tickets online at
