Connecting Moose to superfast broadband

MOOSE MARKETING AND PR

Moose Marketing and PR is a Gloucestershire based, award-winning creative Marketing & PR agency. Moose are also the publishers of Punchline Gloucester business magazine.

When Moose saw rapid growth in their news website in 2018, they found themselves struggling to upload large files and videos on a daily basis to keep readers happy. A slow internet connection was slowing their workflow and it became apparent as demands were growing, they needed to upgrade.

Requirement:

Moose were in need of super-fast broadband that would be able to cope with daily high-volume data uploads and growth of their website. It was time to go from baby broadband to grown-up, muscular broadband with service level agreements. Their landline phone systems were also outdated and running on analogue lines, so with new broadband, it seemed logical to also make the move to cloud telephony.

New mobile phones and a tablet computer were also required, to aid in sales and growth of the business.

Solution:

Lister completed a free, in depth review of the current services and the new services required as well as a usage and bill analysis to identify potential cost savings across broadband and telephony. We recommended Fibre Ethernet for the internet access as well as a Gamma Horizon hosted phone system, which best suited their needs.  We then pre-built and tested the system prior to installation to ensure everything was set up and working correctly.

We set up their new broadband services, making sure that they were up and running in the shortest time possible. This also involved liaising with Openreach and the landlord to install a new cable from the street to within their offices.

The new cloud telephony system was then installed on site and training was provided. We provided a free post-installation site visit to ensure the customer was satisfied.

Fibre Ethernet circuits (leased lines):

  • Business-grade connectivity that is permanent, dedicated and high performing
  • 99.9% uptime with service level agreements
  • Guaranteed bandwidth with symmetric upload and downloads speeds
  • Plan for the future with larger bearer circuits that can be increased later (e.g. 50MB/100MB to 100MB/100MB or 100MB /1GB circuits to 1GB/1GB)
  • Sub-allocated bandwidth for voice assurance when using these circuits for voice and data

The Gamma Horizon hosted phone system:

  • Enables flexible working – full unified communications to support office, mobile and remote-working
  • Easy to scale up (or down) as the customer pays on a per-seat basis
  • All-inclusive subscriptions to simplify your costs (phone services, hardware, call charges, support)
  • Ideal for linking multi-site operations and home-workers into one network
  • Business Continuity – as Horizon sits in the cloud, portal access gives you instant ability to re-route calls when needed

Benefits to Moose Marketing and PR:

  • Upgraded high speed internet which was required for their regular video data uploads
  • A highly capable yet easy to use telephone systems
  • High quality calls via VoIP
  • Telephone systems are linked to CRM for ease of logging
  • Ability to record incoming telephone calls as and when required
  • A single bill for all broadband and telephony services

Outcomes:

Mark Owen, managing director of Moose Marketing and PR and editor of Punchline magazine and website, said:

“What we were looking for was to hand over to someone who could give us what we were looking for. We found that at a company we already had a good relationship with – Rob Lister and his team at Lister Unified Communications got the job done and the upgrade has significantly enhanced our capabilities.”
